For three months, the residents of Les Falaises du Talou, along with Anne Sarah Sanchez, created an affectionate and joyfully messy inventory of all sorts of objects. The result is a collective, curious, ever-changing, and deliberately eclectic collection.
By exploring the reserves of local museums or the treasure boxes of weekend collectors, participants were invited to dream up, repurpose, and shape their own collections during artistic workshops. The goal was to weave a collective narrative from these found or invented items, blending DIY and heritage, the everyday and the wondrous, the intimate and the shared.
Through this project, Anne Sarah Sanchez continues her research on objects, their secret meanings, and their power to console or evoke memories. She explores what we keep, what we show, and what we pass down.
Yves Bartlett was invited to join the project and created a tool for exploring the collection in a new way: playing with the objects, classifying, sorting, and associating them by shape, color, or mood. It’s an open inventory that can be endlessly added to.
The FACE = Fabrique d’Art et Création Expérimentale residency is an initiative of Frac Normandie and APEI Seine & Mer, supported by DRAC Normandie, the Department of Seine-Maritime, and the Communauté de Communes des Falaises du Talou.
